Risk Profiling

Business Risk Profiling provides a detailed assessment of risks across your entire organisation, hence often referred to as “enterprise wide risk assessment”. The process applies a systematic risk assessment methodology using calibrated values for risk Consequence, Likelihood and Control Effectiveness.

Risks are often categorised such as Strategic, Financial or Operational in order to ensure appropriate context, governance, ownership and management throughout the organisation.

Typically, in order to develop Risk Action Plans reflecting highest priority requirement, the Business Risk Profile is prioritised using the Residual Risk Values. However, It is important to take a multi-dimensional view of the Business Risk Profile. Meaning that all available data must be analysed from several perspectives in order to fully understand and evaluate the risk landscape.
